Chimney Liner Installation & Relining

Protect Your Home With a Properly Sized Chimney Liner

A chimney liner plays a major role in the safety and performance of your heating system. It helps contain heat, guide combustion gases out of the property, improve draft, and protect surrounding materials from dangerous heat transfer.

If your chimney liner is cracked, deteriorated, missing, improperly sized, or no longer compatible with your heating appliance, your chimney may not be venting safely or efficiently.

Central CT Chimney installs premium 304L grade stainless steel liners designed for durability, safety, and code compliance.

Safety & Code Compliance

A Damaged or Improper Liner Can Put Your Property at Risk

A chimney liner helps protect your home from dangerous gases, high heat, and unsafe venting conditions. When a liner is cracked, deteriorated, or improperly sized, it can increase the risk of carbon monoxide leaks, poor draft, heat transfer to combustible materials, and appliance performance issues.

A properly installed stainless steel liner can help restore safe venting, improve system efficiency, and bring the chimney closer to current safety and code expectations.

Common Reasons Customers Need a New Chimney Liner

Cracked or deteriorating clay flue tiles
Old or missing liner Improperly sized flue
New high-efficiency heating system
Gas or oil appliance venting changes
Restoring safety after chimney damage or fire

Helpful Preparation

What to Know Before Requesting Chimney Liner Installation

Before a chimney liner can be recommended, your system should be properly evaluated. The correct liner depends on the chimney condition, appliance type, flue size, venting requirements, and local code considerations.

If you are upgrading a heating appliance, noticing draft issues, seeing tile debris, or concerned about liner damage, a full inspection is the best place to start.

Customer Prep Notes

Let us know what appliance connects to the chimney
Mention whether the system uses wood, gas, or oil
Tell us about any draft, odor, smoke, or venting issues
Avoid using the fireplace/appliance if you suspect a safety issue
Have any appliance model or installation information ready if available
Ask about a full-line camera scan if liner damage is suspected

Proper Sizing Matters

We Inspect First So the Liner Fits the System

Chimney liner installation is not a one-size-fits-all service. A liner must be properly sized and selected based on the chimney, appliance, fuel type, and venting requirements. Central CT Chimney performs a careful evaluation before recommending liner replacement. If a new liner is needed, we explain the reason, document the issue when possible, and recommend a liner solution designed for safe, code-compliant performance. Our premium 304L grade stainless steel liners are built for long-term durability and backed by a lifetime warranty.
